Rasokoll

Category:
Brand: RA&Sons

RASOKOLL is a dual purpose adhesive and render specifically designed for thermal insulation boards. It’s premixed formula of cement, sand and high grade additives gives it the flexibility needed to act as both a strong adhesive and also a durable coloured render. It is available in either white or grey and conforms to the European standard EN 1504-3.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be completely sound and clean, dry and dust free. Any surface contaminants like grease, oil and efflorescence must be removed in order to promote adhesion.

Application

RASOKOLL should be mixed with a mechanical paddle mixer to achieve a smooth and lump free consistency. Mix in a clean bucket using approximately 6-7 litres of clean water per 25Kg bag. Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes before application. As an adhesive apply RASOKOLL with a notched trowel at a rate of 4-5 Kg/m² and anchor boards with insulation fixings where necessary. As a render apply a base coat of RASOKOLL with a metal or stainless steel trowel to a depth of 3-4 mm then a fibre reinforcing mesh over the render, leave for 12 hours. Apply a second coat of RASOKOLL to a depth of 3-4 mm as a finishing coat.

Recommendations

Do not apply RASOKOLL:

  • When temperatures are below +5°C and over +35°C
  • When the substrate is excessively wet or in very humid conditions
