PRODUCT

Ralastigum FR

Category:
Brand: RA&Sons

Multi-purpose fibre-reinforced liquid waterproofing membrane, formulated with bitumen in water emulsion, selected elastomeric resins and special additives. It has excellent elasticity, waterproofs and protects from atmospheric agents and from UV rays. It is cold laying, directly on old bituminous membranes without having to dismantle them. It is age resistant, odourless and non-flammable, non toxic and solvent free.

Surface Preparation

Make sure the surface is free from detached parts, loose debris or non-adherent parts, coatings, rust, powder, disarming oils and carefully clean the surfaces so they become sound and dry. Before application fastness and efficiency of water run off points must be carefully checked.

This product can be applied to a slightly damp surface, provided there is no stagnant water.

Application

RALASTIGUM FR can be applied by roller, brush or broom.  The product is applied in two coats (do not dilute). Apply the second coat when the first one is completely dry, after 24-48 hours depending on the environmental conditions and the porosity of the substrate.

After use, clean the tools with water. If product had dried on them, remove with warm water or white spirit.

Recommendations

Do not use RALASTIGUM FR:

  • At temperatures below+5°C or above +35°C
  • On freshly laid bituminous surfaces
  • Do not exceed average consumption for each coat
  • On surfaces subject to rising or strong water pressure#

The average consumption depends on the treated surface and on the layer desired thickness. To obtain a dry film of 1mm, the quantity to be used is approximately 1,5 Kg/m²
